Ingredients (For 3 – 4 popsicles)
Whole Milk – 2 cup
Sugar – 1/4 cup + 1 – 2 tbsp or to taste
Corn starch or corn flour – 1 tbsp combined with 1 – 2 tbsp milk (stir until it dissolves completely)
Salt – A tiny pinch
Vanilla extract – Few drops
Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
Method
- Add milk and sugar to a saucepan and keep on stirring until it is almost about to boil. Bring down the heat to low. Add corn starch in milk and stir continuously for 1 – 2 minutes until it thickens a bit. Switch off the flame. Add a tiny pinch of salt, vanilla extract and cardamom powder. Mix well and switch off. It will thicken further on cooling.
2. Cool down completely. Pour into popsicle moulds and freeze until set.
3. When ready to eat, place the popsicle mould under hot running water for 5 – 10 seconds until the popsicle slides out or dip the molds briefly in hot water before unmolding. Enjoy!
